The Felice Brothers are an American rock / country rock band from New York. Coming on tour to Glasgow’s St Luke’s for one night only on 27th June 2022.

Hailing from the Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York, the Felice Brothers blend folk, Americana, and revivalist roots rock into a uniquely earthy sound. They clearly value inspiration over technique, though their evocative, ’60s-influenced sound reveals they’re capable instruments with solid vocal harmonies. The group made the most of their scruffy, back-to-the-land approach on 2008’s The Felice Brothers and 2009’s Yonder Is the Clock, but with 2011’s Celebration, Florida, they experimented with more ambitious and impressionistic arrangements, and they gained strength as songwriters on 2019’s Undress and 2021’s From Dreams to Dust.

They are comprised of: Ian Felice, James Felice, Christmas Clapton, Greg Farley, and David Turbeville.

Recognised for their live show, The Felice Brothers will play for their audience come hell or high water; the foremost example is their transcendent performance at the 2008 Newport Folk Festival, where they soldiered on, unplugged, in the rain, and barefoot in the mud after a lightning bolt shorted their stage’s power supply.

Their new and fourth LP “Celebration, Florida” is an exhilarating amalgamation of frightening horn sections, unexpected 808s, ambient synth lines, schoolyard taunts, booming, primitive drum beats, heavy bass lines, piano, violin, accordion, ringing guitars, rave beats, and sinister acid jazz that captivates and mystifies.
