The multi award-winning RURA; one of Scotland’s most sought-after folk bands, have teamed up with some special guests on this Celtic Connections tour. Coming to Glasgow’s Theatre Royal for one night only on the 5th February 2022.

Festival favourites RURA have teamed up with four folk music luminaries to create a unique collaborative EP, premiered here at our 2022 festival. Adored for their electrifying mash-up of pipes, flute, bodhran and guitar, RURA’s10th anniversary gig sold out the Old Fruitmarket during Celtic Connections 2020. When Covid hit, gig-starved music lovers lapped up the resultant live album, which fizzed with everything they were missing.

RURA themselves used the touring pause to work virtually with musical heroes, including fiddle-player and composer Duncan Chisholm; rising vocal star Hannah Rarity; and world-renowned multi-instrumentalist and Gaelic folk singer Julie Fowlis. Along with flautist, piper, and composer Michael McGoldrick and innovative piper and composer Ross Ainslie, this prodigious collective are finally together onstage. Watch those sparks fly.

Tickets are on sale now for RURA and Special Guests and will start at £26.40 for the cheapest seats and go up to £41.40 for the most expensive. The first performance will be on the 5th February 2022 and the last show will be on the 5th February 2022. Get your tickets today!
