Pride and Prejudice (Sort of) is the unique and audacious retelling of Jane Austen’s most iconic love story. Coming to Glasgow’s King’s Theatre from 7th – 12th November 2022.

It’s the 1800s. It’s party time. Let the ruthless matchmaking begin.

Men, money and microphones will be fought over in this irreverent but affectionate adaptation. Where the stakes couldn’t be higher when it comes to romance.

Pride and Prejudice is perhaps the greatest novel ever written. It’s one of the most oft-adapted stories across film, TV and stage. But we can guarantee that this latest adaptation to hit the West End is unlike any others you’ve seen.

Drawing on 200 years of romantic pop hits, such as Carly Simon’s You’re So Vain and Candi Staton’s Young Heart’s Run Free. This irreverent all-female adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel is ready to rewrite the her-story.

Pride and Prejudice* (*sort of) is told from the perspective of six servants who are tired of being overlooked and undervalued. They’re ready to meddle in the match-making. Salivate at the scandal and revel in the romance. All the while belting their hearts out on the karaoke.

Isobel McArthur’s Pride and Prejudice* (*sort of) first premiered in Glasgow in 2018 by the Blood of the Young theatre company, before embarking on an acclaimed UK-wide tour in 2019. The riotous production is now set to take over the West End, following in the footsteps of the hugely successful improv troupe Austentatious, with an open-ended run at the Criterion Theatre.

Whether you’re an Austen aficionado or virgin, this hilarious, contemporary romp through Regency-era Britain is not to be missed.

Child Friendly?

Age recommendations for the West End run of Pride and Prejudice* (*sort of) are to be confirmed. The previous tour was recommended for those aged 12 and above.
