Muse, the Alt-rock outfit known for their incredible live shows are back! Coming to Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park on 23rd June 2023.

Forming in 1994, Muse consists of Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme, and Dominic Howard. Releasing their debut album in 1999. The band stood apart from other rock outfits thanks to Bellamy’s falsetto voice and their alternative take on the genre.

The band’s sophomore album Origin of Symmetry was further proof of that as they fused rock with romantic classical elements that lent itself to live performance. This blend of genres continued to be heard on the band’s third studio release Absolution. This went on to be their first of six consecutive UK No.1 albums.

Experimenting with their influences

Experimenting with electronica and pop influences, Muse released Black Holes and Revelations in 2006. This included the hit single ‘Supermassive Black Hole’ that helped the band reach a wider, international audience.

Inspired by the likes of Queen, Prince as well as Skrillex. Muse’s influences have been wide-ranging and are clearly heard on many releases. As their international audience grew, the band began touring more globally and went on to win awards for their stage performances.

It was September 2009 when Muse returned with The Resistance. The album included the single ‘Uprising’ which became their highest-charting US song to date. Their next album The 2nd Law followed in 2012 as the band continued to tour widely.

Drones was released in 2015 and as well as earning the band a number of awards, it also resulted in a film of the same name that featured drone footage from the album’s accompanying tour.

Another LP, international tour, and a commemorative box set all came between then and 2022 when the band announced they would be returning to perform for UK audiences to support War Child, Médecins Sans Frontières, and The Big Issue.

In 2022, as the band prepared for the release of their ninth studio album, Will Of The People, they announced a major UK tour for summer 2023.
