Britain’s best all-round entertainer John Barrowman has announcing a 16-date tour for 2015 in support of his new album, ‘You Raise Me Up’.
The Glasgow-born actor, singer, dancer, presenter and writer began his career in 1989 when he landed the role of Billy Crocker in Cole Porter’s Anything Goes. Since then, he has appeared in a huge number of West End productions, and has been nominated for a number of awards for his various theatre roles.
He moved into TV in the 90’s as part of the Live & Kicking Saturday morning show team. More recently he has starred in the hugely popular TV shows Torchwood, Doctor Who and Arrow.
John’s career has been nothing short of incredible and this year has been no exception. He was awarded an MBE in HM The Queen’s Birthday Honours this year and apart from starring in ‘Arrow’ as Malcolm Merlyn on Sky in the UK, hosting ’Sing Your Face Off’ for ABC in the US, he has also released his third fantasy novel, ‘The Book of Beasts’ co-authored with his sister Carole Barrowman. John’s new Channel 4 show ‘John Barrowman’s Pets with Problems’ will air this summer, and later this year he’ll host the BBC 1 quiz show ‘Pressure Pad,’ The National Lottery Awards, and play Buttons in the Glasgow Clyde Auditorium pantomime production of ‘Cinderella.’
His latest album features new arrangements of many of John’s favourite songs, including ‘Mandy’, ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, ‘A Thousand Years,’ and the title track, ‘You Raise Me Up.’ You’ll hear all of these, plus many more at the show!
His first full UK tour in four years, this promises to be an entertainment experience not to be missed. Make sure you get your tickets to see John Barrowman before it’s too late!
