Hunky pop band Blue have announced an upcoming UK tour for next year, including one night in Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium in March.
Noughties pop band Blue catapulted to fame in 2001 with their top five single, All Rise. The quartet, consisting of Lee Ryan, Antony Costa, Duncan James and Simon Webbe, released three number one albums, scored collaborations with Elton John and Stevie Wonder, and represented the UK in 2011 at the Eurovision Song Contest.
The lads, who are now doting fathers,recently announced dates for their 2015 UK tour, kicking off in Portsmouth in March, and finishing up in Leicester the following month.
Although they went on hiatus from 2005 to 2009 to focus on solo careers and other projects (Simon starred in Strictly Come Dancing, Lee made an appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, Duncan has competed on Dancing On Ice, and Antony has delved into the acting world, starring in Holby City) they remained close to each other, and to their music. In the last year alone, Blue has played over 170 shows and events, and the next 12 months is set to be even bigger.
2015 will see Blue hitting our TV screens once again with the launch of launch their new ITV reality show, ‘Blue Go Mad In Ibiza’. The reality series will follow the trials and tribulations of Blue as they attempt to run a bar in Ibiza.
Blue’s last album, Roulette, saw them collaborate with Grammy-winning producer RedOne, who has crafted global hits for Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj. Their new album, entitled ‘Colours’, is set to reignite the band’s signature style of soaring emotional ballads and energetic pop productions.
