The Kooks have announced a new tour for winter 2015 and will be playing the Glasgow Barrowlands this December!
Brighton rockers The Kooks have announced a 10 date UK tour for late 2015 including one night in the Glasgow Barrowlands on the 8th of December 2015!
The Kooks continue their busy year with a 10 date UK tour including two dates at London’s Forum Friday 18th and Saturday 19th December.
2015 has been non-stop for The Kooks. Having sold out their ‘Listen’ tour in the UK in 2014, the band hit the road, taking the show to audiences in Australia, Europe, USA and South America. Following on from last summer’s huge performances at Reading/Leeds, Bestival and Glastonbury, this summer was no different, playing key festivals in the US, including Lollapalooza, with shows still to come in Liverpool as a warm up to their sets at Reading & Leeds.
Catapulted into the limelight by the overwhelming success of their debut album Inside In/Inside Out, The Kooks cemented their reputation as one of the UK’s best bands with 2008’s follow up Konk which debuted in the album charts at #1. Album number 3 Junk of the Heart followed in 2011.
A self-described “pop” band, their music is primarily influenced by the 1960’s British Invasion movement and post-punk revival of the new millennium with songs described as “catchy as hell.
