Sarah Millican is heading back on the road in late 2015/2016 with a massive new tour and will be playing Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium for two nights in May 2016!
Sarah Millican has announced a brand new show, Outsider, and will be heading out onto the road in October 2015 for a massive 119 date, 11 month tour. She will be coming to Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium for two nights, on the 6th & 7th of May 2016!
Growing up in South Shields, Millican didn’t start performing comedy until her late 20’s. She hadn’t even been into a comedy club until the night of her first gig.
Her debut Edinburgh Festival Fringe show ‘Sarah Millican’s Not Nice’ was based around her divorce, and won the if.comedy award for Best Newcomer in 2008. In spring 2009 she began previewing her second Edinburgh show, attracting enthusiastic reviews for her material on the battle of the sexes. ‘Typical Woman’ ran at the Pleasance throughout August 2009, also attracting positive reviews. Last years ‘Chatterbox’ show, was hosted by was nominated for the main Edinburgh Comedy Award, but lost in the end to Russell Kane.
A consummate live performer, she has notched up a number of appearances on top comedy shows including Mock the Week, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Would I Lie To You?, Have I Got News For You, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Live at the Apollo and The Bubble.
The synopsis for this, her fourth national tour, reads: “In the past when you put Sarah Millican outside, she asked things like: ‘Why? Where is the taxi? Do I need a cardie?’ and said things like: ‘There’ll be wasps. I’ve nothing to sit on. Is that poo? Can we go home?’
“But things have changed, now she has outside slippers. She can tell a chaffinch from a tit (hey). But she still can’t tell if it’s an owl or her husband’s asthma.”
The Outsider tour will kick off in Stockton-on-Tees on October 15th 2015, and will conclude on September 23rd 2016 in Leicester, with one night in Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium in May 2016.
