American rock act Kings of Leon are heading back to Glasgow! They will play one night only at the Glasgow Hydro arena on Monday 27th February 2017.
Following the success of their massive outdoor Scottish show at Bellahouston Park, as part of Glasgow Summer Sessions in 2013 and their sell out show at the Hydro in 2014, Kings of Leon will return to Glasgow in 2017.
Formed in Nashville in 1999, the band is composed of brothers Anthony, Nathan & Ivan Followill with their cousin Cameron (also a Followill). Kings of Leon initial success was not at home, but in UK, they since though become global rock stars, with songs like “Sex on Fire”, “Use Somebody”, and “Notion”.
Kings of Leon have announced a UK arena tour for 2017 – their first UK shows in over two years, including a date at The SSE Hydro!
The multi-platinum selling band will release their highly anticipated seventh studio album ‘WALLS’ on October 14th. The Grammy Award winning group decided to return to their recording roots in Los Angeles and worked with famed producer Markus Dravs (Arcade Fire, Coldplay, Florence + the Machine). The album has received widespread critical acclaim with NME declaring the, ‘Kings are well and truly back’ and Rolling Stone describing the new music as, ‘Kings at their best’.
