Rock legend Jeff Beck sets Glasgow gig date in October 2010.
Regarded as one of the guitar greats alongside the likes of Hendrix and Clapton, Jeff Beck is ranked at number 14 on Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of the ‘100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time’, and has also been described by Rolling Stone Magazine as “one of the most influential lead guitarists of all time”.
Beck has earned wide critical praise. He is one of just a few people to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice; once as a member of The Yardbirds (1992), and once as a solo artist (2009). On top of this, Beck has now received the Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance five times.
As a solo artist, Jeff Beck has had two hit albums. The first, “Blow by Blow” was released in 1975 and showcased his technical prowess in jazz-rock. “Blow by Blow” reached number 4 in the US charts and is Beck’s most commercially successful release. His second solo album, “Wired”, went to number 16 in the US charts, and entered the UK album charts reaching number 38.
Jeff Beck has announced a sensational new line up for his 2010 world tour: for the October UK leg of his upcoming tour Beck will be joined by Narada Michael Walden (drummer), Rhonda Smith (bassist) & Jason Rebello (pianist).
This was THE concert not to miss. Unbelieveable is all I can say to describe it. Had me crying at some of the slow numbers they were so beautiful. Thought I’d died and gone to heaven.
