Legendary Haçienda DJs Graeme Park and Mike Pickering have announced a unique collaboration with Manchester Camerata, and they will play one night at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro Arena on the 22nd of April 2016!
Legendary Haçienda DJs Graeme Park and Mike Pickering to play a non-stop set of 20 songs with one of the UK’s top chamber orchestras to give the club’s anthems a new life!
Mike Pickering and Graeme Park will perform live with the Manchester Camerata Orchestra in Glasgow’s SSE Hydro Arena.
Having sold out two dates in Manchester and a night at London’s Royal Albert Hall in a matter of minutes, Haçienda Classical’s first Scottish concert comes in conjunction with Colours at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on Friday April 22nd 2016.
The event sees FAC 51 The Hacienda and Manchester Camerata collaborate with the DJ’s who shaped The Haçienda’s sound – Mike Pickering and Graeme Park in a unique meeting of worlds, classic dance music performed by a full classical orchestra.
Park, a DJ for 31 years who got his big break at the Manchester club on Whitworth Street after five years as a DJ in Nottingham, says he and Mike will perform with the 40 to 50-strong orchestra and live vocalists, looking after ‘the beats and basslines’, and the ‘produced parts the orchestra can’t do’.
The SSE Hydro concert sees the legendary DJ’s perform a continuous set of 20 signature Haçienda tracks alongside the orchestra performing in this innovative live fusion event.
