This tour will see the Dave Matthews Band play their first European shows since 2010, and will play at Glasgow’s O2 Academy on the 11th of November 2015!

The multi-award winning Dave Matthews Band have sold over 35 million records since their debut, ‘Under the Table and Dreaming’.  The band’s newest album, ‘Away From The World’ debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, giving the band their sixth consecutive number one debut. They are currently working on the follow-up to their 2012 album Away from the World.

Although the untimely death of LeRoi Moore means that the original band is not entirely intact, his spot has been taken by Grammy Award-winner Jeff Colvin.  Jeff is the only member who is not a founder; the others in the band are bassist Stefan Lessard, violinist Boyd Tinsley, drummer Carter Beauford, and of course the one and only Dave Matthews, guitarist. Rashawn Ross and Tim Reynolds have also become full-time touring members of the band.

With band members who each have roots in differing genres, including jazz, classical music, soul music, and Afrobeat, the combination of each member has created a sound which has earned them fans from a variety of quarters.

Last month, Dave Matthews Band announced an extensive North American Tour and recently have added a slew of international dates to their 2015 touring itinerary. Matthews and the band will play a few shows in Mexico next month before heading for their first ever show in the United Arab Emirates, and then through Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, France and then the UK in the Autumn, ending the tour in Ireland.

The band announced a four-date UK and Ireland tour taking in London, Manchester and Glasgow before heading to Dublin.

They’ll also headline Bluesfest at the London’s O2 on the 7th of November after their jaunt around mainland Europe, and before their UK dates.

The group will perform two full sets at each show, after a similar move in the US last year won widespread praise.

Their live shows are legendary and fans can expect a unique experience as the band provides improvisational renditions of their songs accompanied by video and elaborately choreographed lighting. Make sure you get your tickets quickly – they will most definitely sell out. Fast!

Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Friday, February 13.
