Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships 2009

The 18th Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships will be played out in Glasgow’s Scotstoun Sports Campus in May of 2009.

Over 20 nations from across the Commonwealth will compete in 7 different competitions during the Championships.

Playing with amazing precision, skill and lightning speed, top players from home and abroad will battle it out to become Commonwealth Champions.  Fast paced excitement, high velocity action and fun entertainment for the family are assured as teams seek to topple the dominance of Singapore who swept the board during the last Championships in Jaipur, India.

300 players will compete between 19th and 25th May in seven days of gruelling competition to decide the medal positions in the each category.

4.00pm – Women’s team 2nd round
7.00pm – Men’s team 2nd round

Wednesday 20th May:

1.00pm – Men’s team 3rd round
4.00pm – Women’s team quarter-finals
6.30pm – Men’s team 4th round

Thursday 21st May:
10.00am – Men’s team 5th round
1.00pm – Women’s team semi-finals
4.00pm – Men’s team quarter-finals
7.00pm – Women’s team quarter-finals

Friday 22nd May:
10.00am – Men’s & Women’s team matches
1.00pm – Men’s team semi-finals
4.00pm – Women’s team final
7.00pm – Men’s team final

Saturday 23rd May:
9.00am – Men’s & Women’s singles qualification

Sunday 24th May:
9.00am – Singles and doubles matches
9.00pm – Mixed doubles final

Monday 25th May:
9.00am – Women’s doubles semi-finals
9.30am – Men’s doubles semi-finals
10.00am – Women’s singles semi-finals
11.00am – Men’s singles semi-finals
1.00pm – Women’s doubles final
1.45pm – Men’s doubles final
3.00pm – Women’s singles final
4.00pm – Men’s singles final
