Belle & Sebastian have announced details of 3 shows in Glasgow at the Glasgow University Debating Chambers as part of the 21st West End Festival!
Scottish indie pop legends, Belle & Sebastian have announced details of 3 shows at the Glasgow University Debating Chambers on June 13th, 14th, & 15th as part of the West End Festivals 21st anniversary!
The band have had a great few years, receiving an an ‘Outstanding Contribution To Music Award’ at the NME Awards in 2014 and returning to the studio to record their ninth album, ‘Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance’, which was released in January 2015. The album was produced by Ben H Allen III (Animal Collective, Gnarls Barkley) and is available on CD, 2xLP and four-disc boxset with bonus tracks, extended mixes and more.
They has a massively successful tour in spring last year, including a huge homecoming show at the Glasgow SSE Hydro Arena in May 2015.
As champions of Glasgow and in particular Glasgow’s west end, Belle & Sebastian are excited to announce these three shows as part of the West End Festival’s 21st anniversary programme. It seems fitting as this year they are also celebrating a special anniversary and will be involved in presenting a few other events during the festival.
