Walking & Cycling
Glasgow does have a few designated cycle lanes in the city centre, and some outwith this busy area. Glasgow City Council are currently planning on increasing the numbers of these, so hopefully in the future Glasgow will be a more bicycle friendly city.
The best way to see the centre of Glasgow is by foot.
Glasgow is a very pretty city, and is a great place to walk around and enjoy the architecture, shops and sights (depending on the weather of course).
Particularly for the shoppers, there are a number of pedestrian precincts in the city centre where no vehicles are permitted. These are the some of the best shopping areas, and include Sauchiehall St, Buchanan St and Argyle St.
