Rebecca Ferguson has announced details of a brand new tour for 2016 and will play one night in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on the 25th of October 2016.

In 2016, Rebecca will be taking to the road across the UK and Ireland to perform songs in support of her new covers album, Lady Sings The Blues, and will be performing in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on the 25th October.

Born in Liverpool, Rebecca Ferguson became famous as a contestant in the seventh series of The X Factor in 2010.  She made it to the final, in which she performed a duet with Christina Aguilera, performing Aguilera’s hit single “Beautiful”.  Rebecca’s ‘winner’s song’ was a cover of Duffy’s “Distant Dreamer”, but she finished as the runner-up to Matt Cardle, making her the first female runner-up on The X Factor.

Not long after the X Factor final, it was announced that Ferguson had been signed in a joint record deal with Syco Music and Epic Records.

Ferguson’s debut album, Heaven, was released in December 2011. It peaked at no. 3 in the album charts and was certified double platinum in the UK and platinum Ireland. Her second studio album, Freedom, was released in December 2013. Charting at no. 6 in the UK album charts, Freedom was met with both positive reviews from critics, and commercial success in the UK.

Her most recent album, Lady Sings The Blues, was released just a few weeks ago and reached no. 7 in the UK album charts. The album is a collection of Billie Holiday songs, mostly from Billie’s 1956 album of the same name, interpreted by Rebecca. Songs on the album include That Ole Devil Called Love, Blue Moon, Summer Time and of course, Lady Sings The Blues.

Along with her 3 top 10 albums, Rebecca has also had 3 top 20 singles in the UK singles charts. She was also nominated for two MOBO Awards and one MTV Europe Music Award in 2012.

Don’t miss your chance to see her live in Glasgow!
