Pup the Canadian punks with a melodic sensibility are back! Coming to Glasgow’s SWG3 for one night only on the 16th October 2022.

There are many reasons why PUP are one of punk’s unlikeliest success stories. Chief among them is the throat injury that almost ended frontman Stefan Babcock’s career, right as the band was taking off.

The Canadian quartet earned a devoted fanbase after constant touring. An acclaimed self-titled debut that played Weezer-esque hooks at a frantic pace with hardcore energy. The crowds and venues got bigger as PUP signed to highly regarded punk label SideOneDummy. With the release of their follow-up The Dream Is Over, named after the phrase used by the doctor who’d diagnosed the damage to Babcock’s vocal chords.

In true PUP style, the band rallied and toured even harder. Blowing up with their third album, the ever-so-slightly more mature and hugely catchy Morbid Stuff. Which included a guest appearance from Charly Bliss’s Eva Hedricks.

In the midst of the pandemic, the band released the This Place Sucks Ass EP. Which contained a cover of Grandaddy’s ‘180 AM’. In 2022, they followed it with their fourth album The Unravelling Of PUPtheband, preceded by the single ‘Robot Writes A Love Song’.
