Morrissey is to play a six-date UK tour in March, and will appear at Glasgow’s Hydro Arena on the 21st March.

The short outing begins at Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena on the 13th March, taking in dates in Bournemouth, Cardiff, Leeds and Glasgow before finishing up at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena on the 27th March.

Widely regarded as an important innovator in the indie music scene, Morrissey is known not only for his dramatic, bleak and funny lyrics, his unusual baritone vocal style and his quiff. His forthright political opinions have frequently been in the media, and he is well known for his activism, particularly his advocacy of animal rights and vegetarianism.

Morrissey’s 2014 tour included just one UK date at London’s O2 Arena, which completely sold out. The former Smiths frontman listed the London date as his favourite gig of the year in an end-of-tour message.

His long awaited album World Peace Is None Of Your Business marked his first solo release since 2009’s Years of Refusal. The album charted at number two in the UK, and is Morrissey’s 12th top ten UK album.

Tickets for Morrissey’s tour go on sale on Friday the 16th January at 10am. Tickets will sell quickly so make sure you get yours fast!
