Glasgow Music Theatre returns to the Merchant City in May 2014 with a fresh take on Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along.
How did we get to be here? On a New York rooftop in 1957, three young artists witness the launch of the Space Age and dream that, together, they can change the world. Twenty years later, their friendship lies in ruins.
Told in reverse, Stephen Sondheim’s innovative musical drama examines the choices that lead us down the wrong path and asks… what was the moment?
Glasgow Music Theatre returns to the Merchant City with a fresh take on this stylish journey through the decades. Featuring Sondheim’s trademark soaring score and witty lyrics, Merrily We Roll Along takes composer Franklin Shepard and his two best friends back to where they began in the latest of GMT’s popular series of intimate studio productions.
