Lee Evans

16th – 18th October 2014

Location:  The Hydro

Actor and very-funnyman Lee Evans is bringing his brand new stand-up show to Glasgow’s Hydro Arena in October 2013.

Lee Evans rose to fame during the 1990s, becoming noted for his humorous voices, his very physical observational comedy, along with his hyperactive, loud, hot, energetic on-stage performances, and his tendency to sweat just a little.

In fact, who are we kidding?  He is quite possibly the sweatiest performer the UK has ever seen, and he is often absolutely drenched on-stage.  You could say it’s a bit of a trademark…

But this doesn’t stop people flooding into arena’s to see his shows: Evans already holds a Guinness World record for performing a solo comedic act to the largest comedy audience.  This record was set in November of 2005 when he performed for a staggering 10,108 people at the Manchester Evening News Arena.  He also had the best selling DVD in Britain during a period of 2008 with his stand-up show ‘Big’, filmed at the O2 Arena in London earlier that year.

Evans has been awarded the Time Out Award for comedy and also a highly coveted Perrier Award.

But his brand new tour, ‘Monsters’, is set to be his largest to date.  ‘Monsters’ will see the Perrier Award winning comedian and international film star bring his unique brand of humour across the length and breadth of the UK, with 50 dates set including London’s Wembley Arens and of course, Glasgow’s very own Hydro Arena.

If you want to see the man himself in action buy your tickets early!
