Jim White, is a southern American singer-songwriter and guitarist is going on tour. Coming to Glasgow’s St Luke’s for one night only on the 13th June 2022.

Singer-songwriter Jim White has a habit of snatching meaning from thin air. He has a critically-acclaimed debut album, Wrong-Eyed Jesus (The Mysterious Tale of How I Shouted). It tapped into the zeitgeist of what would soon blossom into the lo-fi Americana movement.

Since then, he’s released a further five studio albums. He often features collaborations with the likes of folk singer Victoria Williams and British electronica trio Morcheeba. Not to mention Aimee Mann, Barenaked Ladies, as well as the jazz guitarist Bill Frisell.

White’s live shows, particularly when touring solo, can be characterized as off-beat, blending his playlist with open discussion with the audience, anecdotal storytelling derived from his own life experiences, all of which is typically humorous and insightful, with a deep sense of his feeling for the broken beauty of humanity.
