Daniel Sloss, the prolific Scottish funny man returns with ‘Can’t’. Coming to Glasgow’s SEC Armadillo on 11th November 2023.

Internationally acclaimed comedian Daniel Sloss was born in Kingston upon Thames, England and raised in Fife, Scotland. He got his big break at the age of 16 after his mother met comedian Frankie Boyle. This led to a work experience opportunity for her son writing jokes for the outspoken comic on BBC’s Mock The Week.

Instead of going to university, Sloss decided to embark on comedy as his full-time career. In 2008, he made his first appearance at Edinburgh Festival Fringe alongside fellow comedian Davey See with Life In 2D. Sloss returned the following year with a solo show, Teenage Kicks. He not only sold out his performances, but later took it to the West End. He became the youngest comedian to perform a solo season.

Sloss continued selling out seasons at the Fringe with 2010’s My Generation, 2011’s The Joker (for which he was also named Best New Comedian at the Scottish Variety Awards). The 2012’s The Show, 2013’s Stand-Up and 2014’s Really…? Between 2014 and 2019, he also performed six solo seasons off Broadway.

Over the years, Sloss has been featured on television in The Graham Norton Show and Drunk History. As well as Roast Battles and Sunday Night At The Palladium as well as in American talk shows like The Late Late Show and Conan. Where he appeared a record eight times.

Netflix specials

Sloss boasts two smash hit Netflix specials – DARK and Jigsaw. His acclaimed 10th solo show X played across the globe in 2018 and 2019, spanning 300 dates in 40 countries. Filmed in Sydney and shown on HBO in North America, it became the first comedy special to debut in the UK on the big screen at Vue cinemas in early 2020.

Also in 2020, he premiered his new show Daniel Sloss: HUBRIS in New York City just before the global pandemic shut everything down. He performed a few dates in the US and UK at drive-ins or other socially distanced venues throughout that summer and autumn.

In 2022, he announced his latest show Can’t with a string of UK shows in October, November and December with special guest Kai Humphreys.
