Ben Lomond is a great place to experience the draw of highland scenery only a short drive/journey from central Scotland. Walking routes range from the paths up the mountain, through forest walks on adjacent Forestry Commission Scotland land, to the low level Ardess Hidden History Trail or loch side walk following the west highland way.

April and May are a good time of year to experience the oak woodlands at their best, with great shows of bluebells and plenty of birdlife.
