You Me At Six

English alt-rockers You Me At Six have announced one massive gig in Glasgow’s Hydro Arena in February 2015!

You Me at Six are an English rock band from Surrey formed in 2004.  They rose to fame in 2008 with the success of their debut album, Take Off Your Colours, which included the singles ‘Save It for the Bedroom’, ‘Finders Keepers’ and ‘Kiss and Tell’.

They were nominated for Best British Band at the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Kerrang! Awards, losing each time to metalcore band Bullet for My Valentine.  However, they did win the title for ‘Best British Band’ in 2011.

The band released their second studio album, titled Hold Me Down in January 2010, which reached number 5 in the UK albums chart.  This album included the popular singles ‘Underdog’, ‘Liquid Confidence’ and ‘Stay with Me’.  The band released a new single titled ‘Rescue Me’ earlier in 2011, featuring American alternative hip-hop act Chiddy Bang. Another album followed in 2011, Sinners Never Sleep, before they started touring.

Their newest album, Cavalier Youth, was released early in 2014 which reached number 1 in the UK album charts. The album spawned the singles number 1 UK rock chart singles ‘Lived a Lie’ and ‘Fresh Start Fever’, the latter of which received the Kerrang! Award for Best Single.

The band headlined a tour of Europe in support of the album earlier this year, playing twenty three shows ending at an already sold out Alexandra Palace in London on the 5th of April 2014.
