English alt-rockers You Me At Six have announced one gig in Glasgow’s SECC in March 2012.
You Me at Six are an English rock band from Surrey formed in 2004. They rose to fame in 2008 with the success of their debut album, Take Off Your Colours, which included the singles ‘Save It for the Bedroom’, ‘Finders Keepers’ and ‘Kiss and Tell’.
They were nominated for Best British Band at the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Kerrang! Awards, losing each time to metalcore band Bullet for My Valentine. However, they did win the title for ‘Best British Band’ in 2011.
The band released their second studio album, titled Hold Me Down in January 2010, which reached number 5 in the UK albums chart. This album included the popular singles ‘Underdog’, ‘Liquid Confidence’ and ‘Stay with Me’. The band released a new single titled ‘Rescue Me’ earlier in 2011, featuring American alternative hip-hop act Chiddy Bang.
You Me At Six made an announcement that they would be heading back to the studio in early February/March 2011 in preparation for their third album, Sinners Never Sleep, which was released in October 2011. They will be touring the UK in March 2012 in support of this album.
