Location:  O2 Academy, Glasgow

Hard rockers Wolfmother are coming to Glasgow for one night only this January.

Wolfmother return with their first new album in 4 years.  Released earlier this year, Cosmic Egg is the second studio album by Australian hard rock band Wolfmother; the first album by the second lineup of the band.

Formed in Sydney, Australia in 2000, Wolfmother were originally a trio comprising of vocalist and guitarist Andrew Stockdale, bassist and keyboardist Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett.  The band released their debut self-titled album in October 2005, which reached number three on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart.  The album was also a critical success, winning the 2005 J Award and 2006 ARIA Awards for Best Breakthrough Album and Best Rock Album.  ‘Woman’, a single from the album, won the band their first Grammy Award, for Best Hard Rock Performance, in 2007.

However in August 2008, two of the original members, Chris Ross and Myles Heskett left the band, and the new lineup was formed in 2009, featuring Ian Peres (bass, keyboards), Aidan Nemeth (guitar) and Dave Atkins (drums) alongside the one remaining original, Andrew Stockdale.

A brilliant band to see live; don’t miss your opportunity to see Wolfmother in action.
