Whitesnake are heading out on tour and are coming to Glasgow’s Hydro Arena for just one night this December, with Def Leppard and other special guests!

Whitesnake have announced a massive UK & Ireland arena tour in winter 2015, and will be co-headlining with rock icons Def Leppard. They are playing Glasgow’s SEE Hydro Arena for just one night on the 10th of December 2015!

Formed in England in 1977 by former Deep Purple singer David Coverdale, Whitesnake primarily played blues rock, but by the mid 80’s had moved away from their hard rock influences towards a more heavy metal style with which they received much of their commercial success.

During their thirty-odd year history, the band has released two extended plays, eleven studio long plays, four live long plays, ten compilation albums and twenty-seven singles.  ‘Come an’ Get It’ (1981) and ‘Slide It In’ (1984)albums charted highest in the UK album charts, getting to no 2 and no 1 respectively.  However Whitesnake’s most successful singles were from their next, self-titled album which was released in 1987, spawning the hits ‘Here I Go Again’ and ‘Is This Love’.

Not only are Whitesnake co-headlining with Def Leppard, they’re also bringing Black Star Riders – the ‘supergroup’ featuring Ricky Warwick from The Almighty and members of Thin Lizzy and Alice Cooper’s band – as special guests!

Don’t miss your chance to see them live in Glasgow and hear some of the most memorable hits from the 80’s.
