Whitesnake are back on tour this summer, and are coming to Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium for just one night…
Formed in England in 1977 by former Deep Purple singer David Coverdale, Whitesnake primarily played blues rock, but by the mid 80′s had moved away from their hard rock influences towards a more heavy metal style with which they received much of their commercial success.
During their thirty-odd year history, the band has released two extended plays, eleven studio long plays, four live long plays, ten compilation albums and twenty-seven singles. ’Come an’ Get It’ (1981) and ‘Slide It In’ (1984)albums charted highest in the UK album charts, getting to no 2 and no 1 respectively. However Whitesnake’s most successful singles were from their next, self-titled album which was released in 1987, spawning the hits ‘Here I Go Again’ and ‘Is This Love’.
Don’t miss your chance to see Whitesnake live in Glasgow and hear some of the most memorable hits from the 80′s.
