Scottish indie rockers Travis are coming home to Glasgow this December. They have announced just one gig in Glasgow in support of their new album and will be rocking the Glasgow O2 ABC on the 6th of May 2016.

The returning Scottish indie heroes Travis have announced details of a nine-date tour of the UK in May. The shows come in support of their upcoming album, Everything At Once, which promises to provide a wealth of new material to their set. It will be released on the 29th of April and the lead single from the album, ‘3 Miles High’, features backing vocals from Norwegian singer Aurora, who covered Oasis’ ‘Half The World Away’ for the John Lewis Christmas advert.

Travis were formed in Glasgow all the way back in the early nineties. After a few personell changes, the band line up comprised of Fran Healy, Dougie Payne, Andy Dunlop and Neil Primrose.

Travis had been a stable of the UK alt rock scene before achieving huge success with their album The Man Who which included their hit single “Why Does It Always Rain On Me?” Since then they have become one of the most popular acts in Europe.

They released four further albums between in 2001 & 2008 with mixed mainstream success. After a few year hiatus from performing live they returned in 2011 and released their 7th studio ‘Where You Stand’ in August 2013.

They will return to Glasgow in 2016 with one intimate gig at the Glasgow’s O2 ABC.

The tour will kick off in Glasgow on May 6th and will end in Bristol on May 18th, with shows in between including London, Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham.
