The Ting Tings hit the Arches  in Glasgow this November as part of their 8 date tour of the UK, ahead of the release of their second album.

The Ting Tings are an English duo Jules De Martino and Katie White who formed in Salford December 2007.  They released four singles including the number 1 “That’s Not My Name”.  Their debut album has now sold over 6 million copies worldwide.

The band have spent the last two years recording their long awaited second album in Berlin, London and Spain, with the as yet untitled album now scheduled to be released on January 16 2012.

Ting Tings were nominated for Video of the Year at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards and won the award for Best UK Video.  In January 2009 Columbia Records began promoting “That’s Not My Name” in the US looking for a big breakthrough for the duo.

Their new single, “Hands” was released on 11 October 2011.
