The Charlatans

9th June 2012

Location:  Barrowlands

Tickets:  £29

The Charlatans have announced that they will perform their 1997 album ‘Tellin’ Stories’ in its entirety at two special shows next June, one of which will be in the Glasgow Barrowlands.

The band, who released their 11th studio album ‘Who We Touch’ in September 2010, will play London’s HMV Hammersmith Apollo on June 8th and Glasgow’s Barrowlands venue on June 9th.  They will play ‘Tellin’ Stories’ in full at both shows.

The album, which was the fifth of the band’s career, features some of their biggest hits, including ‘North Country Boy’, ‘One To Another’ and ‘How High’.  During the recording of the album, keyboard player Rob Collins died in a car crash.

This is the second time the band have celebrated an album with a series of retrospective gigs.  They did a similar thing in 2010 to honour the 20th anniversary of their debut album ‘Some Friendly’.

This is an amazing chance for any fan to hear one of The Charlatans biggest albums played in full.  And they’re only doing 2 gigs.  So make sure you get your tickets soon!
