26th November 2011 – 3rd January 2012
Location: George Square
Entry: Free
George Square will come to life every day throughout this festive season with a mix of fun (and completely free) entertainment for all the family.
This year, the programme of events in George Square is jam packed.
Hear big bands, wind bands, ceilidh bands and even brand new bands. Hear Christmas performances by the Rock Choir and the RSNO Adult Chorus Choir. And then hear special performances by artists and bands involved in the Glasgow Jazz Festival and Celtic Connections.
See Christmas movies played on the big screen including The Grinch, White Christmas, Home Alone, Miracle on 34th St and Polar Express. See ice sculptures and fashion shows, cooking demonstrations and street theatre performances.
And as if that isn’t enough, you can also take part in Christmas quizzes, while you grab a bite in the cafe or have a wee drink.
The programme runs daily throughout December until the 3rd January 2011. For full programme information see Glasgow Loves Christmas or have a look at the calendar.
