The Big Fun Run
When: 10th October 2015
Location: Bellahouston Park
Raise funds for the charity of your choice, by running in the Glasgow Big Fun Run in Bellahouston Park on Saturday the 10th October 2015 at 11 am.
Entry
Online entry is open and available until a few days before the race. Entry costs are as follows:
- Adults: £10.49 (£20 on the day)
- Kids (5-15 yrs): £8.49 (£15 on the day)
- Under 5’s: Free
You can also register on the day of the race though if you don’t get it done online, but remember to arrive earlier so that you don’t miss the start of the race!
Running for a charity
Whilst you do not need to run for charity you are encouraged to consider one of the Big Fun Run’s Official Charities. There are many to choose from, including the British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK, Scottish Cot Death Trust and Macmillan Cancer Support. You can select from over 20 different charities on the Big Fun Run website.
Runners who nominate an official charity will receive a fundraising pack from their nominated charity. By nominating a charity you will be expected to fundraise sponsorship on behalf of your nominated charity.
You can also run for a charity of your choice not listed on the official Fun Run website.
The Race
The start/finish area is located with the cycle track of Bellahouston Park. This is located on the south-west side of the Park. The nearest pedestrian access is via Gates on Mosspark Boulevard. The start/finish area will be indicated by a large inflatable archway.
You can run or walk the race. It’s the taking part that counts! All finishers receive a goody bag, refreshment and medal.
Parking
There is no parking or vehicle access within Bellahouston Park, but pedestrian access is available via all entrances. There is limited parking available by Moss Park Boulevard, and there are a few car parks at the opposite end of the park to where the race begins. You may have to walk 10-15 minutes to the starting area, so make sure that you plan your journey accordingly.
