Thu 9th – Sun 12th July 2009
Tickets: Prices listed below
Location: Balado, Kinross-shire
Voted the festival with the best line-up in 2008, and the best major UK festival in 2006, T in the Park is one of the UKs premiere and best loved festivals.
With 9 stages, showcasing some of Britain’s (and Scotland’s) best talent, the 2009 T in the Park looks like it’s going to be a great one!
The line-up this year on the main stage includes legends such as Rage Against The Machine, The Verve, REM and Stereophonics, along with more recent chart toppers like Amy Winehouse, The Fratellis and Amy Macdonald. With more than 80 acts to choose from throughout the weekend, you will definitely find something you’ll like!
Getting there
T in the Park takes place in Balado, Kinross-shire. As a result, there are only so many ways you can get there.
By bus: Travelling by bus is the fasters, easiest and most environmentally friendly way to get to the T in the Park festival. Buses leave from Glasgow’s Buchanan Street Bus Station very regularly. Tickets for the bus can be purchased in advance along with your festival ticket (see below). Alternatively, tickets for the bus can be purchased from the Citylink website. They don’t seem to have updated their site to include the 2009 T in the Park just yet, but we will keep checking and let you know when they do.
By car: We wouldn’t advise travelling by car as it will be EXTREMELY busy, particularly on the weekend. But if you have to travel by car, directions (from Glasgow city centre) can be found here. Car parking tickets are sold in advance (available from Ticketmaster). Since only a limited number of tickets are available on site on the day (payable on entry to the car park) it would be advisable to purchase parking in advance. On the T in the Park website they advise the following for drivers:
- Only use the designated drop off points.
- Since the traffic system changes each year, following the event signs would be advisable…
- Allow extra time for your journey, as it will be busy!
- Respect local residents – only use the designated toilet stops.
- Keep your ticket safe. Everyone in the car must have ticket.
