Septemver 11th 2011 sees Glaswegians and fellow Scots being asked to grab their bikes to enjoy a traffic free 9 mile route of Glasgow city centre.

Last year saw thousands of cyclists taking to the traffic-free streets of Glasgow, and this year many more are expected to join the festivities.

Glasgow will be transformed into a cyclists’ paradise, complete with a festival area and roaming entertainment.

This years 9 mile route is much longer than last years, and will take you past some of the city’s most famous landmarks.  This is a unique chance to experience the very best of Glasgow traffic-free and explore the city from a completely new perspective.

But, it’s not all hard work and pedalling.  There will be a host of entertainment lined up to put you in the party mood including live bands and games for kids.  You might find yourself sharing the route with a few familiar faces, including Lorraine Kelly.

Register now for free, and fall in love with your bike again.  The Skyride Glasgow route will be open and free of traffic from 10am until 2pm, but remember it’s the early bird that catches the worm, so head down early!
