Reindeer Parade & Christmas Lights Switch On

Welcome Santa and his herd of Reindeer to celebrate the start of the festive season at Princes Square’s much loved annual Reindeer Parade & Christmas Lights Switch On.

The reindeer parade and lights switch on event will take place on the evening of Thursday 12th of November and will start from 5.30pm.

Santa will take his reindeer and his sleigh up and down Buchanan Street before switching on both the external lights that will light up the whole building – and then coming inside to switch on the stunning suspended tree.

Santa will then be available to hear what children would like from him for Christmas this year until 730pm when he will leave again for Lapland.

This is not a ticketed event – but is extremely popular – so it is advised to book tables for dining well in advance and to arrive earlier rather than later to ensure visibility of the event and a meet with Santa to avoid disappointment.

As an extra festive treat, Princes Square’s Restaurant Bar & Grill will be inviting children to eat free from 4pm – 6pm with paying adults, and Dower & Hall will be making sure shoppers have a very merry experience by giving away an exclusive reindeer charm with every purchase made instore throughout the day.
