Pete Doherty has announced one night in Glasgow’s Barrowlands as part of his upcoming solo UK tour in May.
The Libertines’ Pete Doherty has announced a run of solo UK tour dates for May 2016, including one night in the Glasgow Barrowlands on the 13th of May 2016.
Doherty, who is currently putting the finishing touches to his second solo album, has announced five shows in the UK in May. Starting at Bristol Academy on May 11, Doherty will also play gigs at Glasgow Barrowland on May 13th, Albert Hall in Manchester and two nights in east London at Hackney Empire.
At present Pete is on a sold-out tour of Europe with The Libertines and will be appearing, along with fellow Libertine Carl Barât, at John Cale’s performance of ‘The Velvet Underground & Nico’ at Philharmonie de Paris on 3 April.
Doherty is expected to release the follow up to 2009 debut ‘Grace/ Wastelands’ at some point in 2016. He will also reportedly be releasing a split single with PJ Harvey guitarist James Johnston for Record Store Day this year. Doherty’s contribution includes two new recordings of ‘The Whole World Is Our Playground,’ including one recorded at Clouds Hill Festival.
