Paul Weller, “The Modfather” and former frontman of The Jam and The Style Council has set his course for Glasgow this November.

British icon Paul Weller has announced a brand new album and a massive UK arena tour for 2015, and will be playing one night in Glasgow’s SSE Hydro Arena on the 24th of November 2015.

Starting out in his early years with the mod/punk-rock band The Jam (1976–1982), Paul Weller then branched out musically to a more soulful style with The Style Council during the eighties (1983–1989).

In 1991 he re-established himself as a successful solo artist, and since then has continued to remain a respected singer, lyricist and guitarist and is now enjoying a flourishing solo career.  In fact, he has become one of the most influential musicians in British rock music, having helped Britpop bands such as Oasis and Blur reach success.  And in 2009, his success was reaffirmed by his awarding of the that years BRIT award for Best Male Solo Artist.

All but the first of his 11 albums have peaked within the top 5 in the UK album charts, including no. 1’s with the 4x platimum ‘Stanley Road’, ‘Illumination’, ’22 Dreams’ and ‘Sonik Kicks’. His 12th solo studio album, ‘Saturn’s Pattern’, is due for release on the 11th of May 2015.

Paul Weller continues to remain a respected singer, lyricist and guitarist, and one of the UK’s most loved live acts, presenting his audiences with his refreshing fusion of indie, rock, and acoustic sounds during gigs.

Make sure you don’t miss out on this chance to see a real music icon perform in Glasgow. Get your tickets soon!
