Legendary songwriter & performer Neil Diamond coming to Glasgow’s SSE Hydro Arena for one night in July 2015!

Iconic Grammy Award-winning Rock and Pop Singer/Songwriter Neil Diamond will be bringing his highly anticipated Neil Diamond Tour 2015 to Europe next summer.

With a musical career spanning nearly 50 years, Neil Diamond is one of the most successful adult contemporary artists ever.  He has sold more than 128 million albums worldwide, has charted a staggering 37 Top 10 singles and 16 Top 10 albums, and his last studio album, “Home Before Dark” (2008), debuted at #1 in the U.S. and internationally.

A Grammy Award-winning artist, Diamond is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame and is a recipient of the Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award, one of the highest honours bestowed upon songwriters.  Diamond’s many other achievements include a Golden Globe Award and 12 Grammy nominations.  Neil was recently nominated for the 2011 Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame and will be inducted in March 2011.

Neil Diamond is still recording critically acclaimed and top-selling work.   His latest recording, ‘Dreams’ was released last October through Sony Music.  This album is a 14 song collection comprising the singer/songwriters favourite songs of other composers from the rock era.   ‘Dreams’ includes music that deeply influenced him as a young man growing up in Brooklyn and includes well known classics from the 60’s and 70’s including ‘Let It Be’, ‘Hallelujah’, ‘Desperado’, ‘Yesterday’ and ‘Midnight Train to Georgia’.

Though his record sales declined somewhat after the 1980s, Diamond continues to tour successfully, and maintains a very loyal following.  His eclectic and universally beloved songs – as well as his charismatic and openhearted performances of them – continue to make him an international force, both as a record maker and a live entertainer.
