Muse have announced The Drones World Tour with a European start including one gig in Glasgow’s SSE Hydro Arena on the17th of April 2016!

The multi-award winners are undoubtedly one of the biggest rock acts in the UK, and with their grandiose piano, impossible guitar riffs, distorted bass lines and front man Bellamy’s trademark almost operatic vocals, they have earned a wealth of dedicated fans.

Muse released their new album Drones earlier this year, and fans were surprised when the band didn’t follow up the buzz of the release with an accompanying tour. Now, three months later, Muse have delivered, officially announcing the Drones World Tour with a round of European tour dates.

Well known for being an innovative live act, Muse will continue to expand what it can do as a band with its 2016 tour dates. According to the band’s official website, for the first time Muse will be performing “in the round” with a 360-degree stage. Though the band haven’t explained exactly what this means, it teases a fully rounded “audio/visual sensory experience.”

Muse have won a vast number of music awards throughout their career, including five MTV Europe Music Awards, five Q Awards, six NME Awards, two BRIT awards and four Kerrang! Awards.  The majority of these awards have been attributed to their live performances.

In 2007 the rockers even became the first band to sell out the new Wembley Stadium. With anthems like ‘Plug in Baby’, ‘Knights of Cydonia’ and ‘Supermassive Black Hole’, and award winning live performances it’s not hard to see why…

For now, Muse have announced a series of 10 tour dates in Europe. The Drones World Tour will begin on April 5th 2016, in Dublin and the first leg will continue until June 4th in Prague, Czech Republic with one gig in Glasgow on April 17th.

Don’t miss your chance to get some live Muse action in Glasgow’s Hydro Arena on the 17th of April 2016.  Get your tickets now!

  1. Can’t believe my mother-in-law managed to secure my husband tickets for his 30th. It’ll be my first trip to Glasgow and my first ever live gig and to start with Muse will be unbelievable. I’m well psyched.
