The annual MHFS 10k for Men will once again be held in Glasgow on Father’s Day, starting at the Riverside Museum.
This fathers day, the 19th of June 2016, will see the MHFS Men’s 10k set off from Glasgow’s Riverside Museum and head through Glasgow ending at Glasgow Green.
2016 will see the MHFS 10k for Men reach its 11th year in Glasgow and with every year, the event becomes bigger and better! It’s held each year on Father’s Day and its aim is to raise awareness of men’s health issues in Scotland and to encourage men to take part in healthy physical activity all year round.
Men of all ages over 15 (this was up to 85 in 2013!) take part each year and of them, 40% are aged 40 and over, and around 40% are taking part in their first ever 10k event.
The course record was smashed in 2010 and is 30:47 and the last guy crossed the line in over 3 hours! So, whatever your time, you’ll have company along the route!
There is a brilliant atmosphere with men of all shapes and sizes encouraging each other along the scenic route encompassing two of Glasgow’s beautiful parks, Bellahouston and Pollok.
