Megadeth and Lamb Of God have announced a co-headlining tour of the UK and Ireland in winter 2015, with one night in Glasgow’s Braehead Arena in November!

The heavy metal bands will thrash their way across the UK this winter, playing 5 nights in total, with one night in Glasgow’s Braehead Arena on the 11th of November.

The tour will coincide with Megadeth’s 15th studio album, and marks the 30th anniversary of Megadeth’s debut album ‘Killing Is My Business… and Business Is Good’. In the last three decades, these pioneers of metal music have sold over 38 million albums worldwide. Last month, frontman Dave Mustaine won the Golden God award at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods, following in the footsteps of rock icons Marilyn Manson and Robb Flynn.

Grammy-nominated Lamb of God headlined the second stage at Download Festival in June. The Virginian new wave metal group formed in 1994, and have since released seven studio albums. Their upcoming album ‘VII: Sturm und Drang’ will be released on the 24th of July.

The Lamb of God longtime drummer Chris Adler will pull a double duty at the gigs after being recruited by Dave Mustaine following the recent departure of Megadeth’s drummer. Adler recently said he hoped to be able to work with both bands as much as possible, but that he’d never leave Lamb Of God.

Mustaine reports: “Having just finished an amazing record full of high-energy heavy metal with Chris Adler, Kiko Loureiro and David Ellefson, I am excited to announce this tour and see all of the metal fans come out for this one. I literally can’t wait to hit the stage again.”

Support on the jaunt comes from Children Of Bodom and Sylosis.

Tickets are priced at £28.50 and go on general sale on Friday the 17th of July at 9am.
