2nd December 2009 – 3rd January 2010
Location: The Arches, Glasgow
Tickets: Children/Conc: £4.00, Adults: £8.00
The Arches is transformed into a woodland haven for this magical re-telling of the classic Brothers Grimm story, Little Red Riding Hood.
This is a special and quite unique show for children aged 3+
One of the Arches’ smaller theatre rooms will be completely transformed into a magical forest, illuminated with song, dance, fantastic puppets, and twinkling lights, as well as Granny’s cosy cottage nestling beneath the seats.
Based on the classic Brothers Grimm tale, the show is a modern re-telling of Little Red Riding Hood’s journey through the forest to visit her sick granny.
This time, Little Red is a street-smart, mischievous girl in a little kilt and boots. When Mr Wolf tricks her into taking a longer path, she manages to make plenty of intriguing friends along the way, who brighten her journey with live music and dance.
Suitable for children aged 3+, there is enough to captivate older children without overwhelming the youngest. There’s also a special kids’ menu in the Arches cafe bar, and activity sheets available.
