Brit-Award winner, James Morrison, is performing in Glasgow for one night only in February 2012.

James Morrison, the British singer-songwriter is one of the biggest success stories of recent years. Earning national attention with the release of his debut album ‘Undiscovered’ in 2006 which debuted at no. 1 in the UK album charts, it wasn’t long before James Morrison was wowing festival and gig goers everywhere.

He released his second album, ‘Songs for You, Truths for Me’ in 2008, which entered the top five in the UK as well as topping the Irish Albums Chart.  Songs for You, Truths for Me featured the top ten singles ‘You Make It Real’ and his critically acclaimed collaboration with Nelly Furtado, ‘Broken Strings’.

In 2010, Morrison announced that he had been working on his third studio album.  Titled ‘The Awakening’, Morrison considers this his best album by far.  As the name suggests, the album has the mark of an artist coming of age.  He recently became a father and also sadly lost his own father.  All of the emotion from these events has been channelled into his most recent album, creating a more accomplished sound and some of his best songs yet.  The Awakening was released in September 2011 and reached no. 1 in the UK Albums Charts, and his first single from the album ‘I Won’t Let You Go’ debuted at no. 5 in the UK Singles Charts, his best since ‘Broken Strings’ in 2008.
