The world’s foremost classical crossover group, Il Divo and one of the world’s leading mezzo sopprano, Katherine Jenkins are touring together for the first and stop off in Glasgow for one night in April 2013.

Witness Il Divo live,  see this phenomenal quartet, comprising Carlos Marin, Sebastien Izambard, David Miller and Urs Buhler perform live in Glasgow again. The quartet will be joined by Katherine Jenkins at the Glasgow SECC on the 9th April 2013.

Both artists have captivated millions around the world whilst at the forefront of a classical-crossover revolution in recent years. With over 30 million album sales between them, both Il Divo and Katherine have experienced stratospheric rises. Whilst they have crossed paths at various musical events and TV shows, they have never actually taken to the public stage together.

This tour will see both artists perform with a full orchestra, their own unique classical interpretations of popular songs, whilst also dueting together for the very first time.

Recently named Artist of the Decade at the Classic BRITS.  Il Divo are the most successful international musical break-out story of this millennium, selling more than 25 million albums and singlehandedly inventing the classical crossover genre.  Their ground-breaking success has brought and pioneered an entirely new sound to vocal music and the group have over 150 gold and platinum awards in 33 countries.  Their first four albums, ‘Il Divo’, ‘Ancora’, ‘Siempre’ and ‘The Promise’ have achieved 50 no. 1 album chart positions internationally.

As Il Divo gear up for the release of their Greatest Hits album, and Katherine Jenkins her first ever festive collection of Christmas songs “This is Christmas”, both released November 26, both artists look forward to working together in the new year on finalising the approach to these special co-headline shows, which are sure to deliver a gamut of timeless fan favourites.
