Scottish rockers Idlewild have announced a one off gig in the Glasgow Barrowlands in November 2015.

Idlewild, the Scottish alt-rockers led by Roddy Woomble, have announced a one off gig in the Glasgow Barrowlands on the 27th of November 2015.

With their passionate rock’n’roll brimming with restrained aggression, Idlewild reached their biggest level of success with singles ‘You Held The World In Your Arms’ and ‘American English’. The band released their last album ‘Post Electric Blues’ in 2009. Since then, frontman Roddy Woomble has released two solo albums, while guitarist Rod Jones has released material under his own name in addition to forming the band The Birthday Suit.

Last year, in 2014 after 4-year hiatus Idlewild returned, completing a sold out acoustic tour of unique, intimate venues throughout the Highlands & Islands of Scotland, re-introducing themselves to live audiences after a half-decade break, performing re-worked versions of old songs as well as new material.
