Idina Menzel has announced that she will be going on a world tour in 2015 and will be coming to Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall for one night in June!

Tony Award winner and Billboard Breakthrough Artist of the Year Idina Menzel, who sung the smash hit ‘Let It Go’ from the movie Frozen, is hitting the international road in 2015.

“I’ve been so excited to tell you. I’m hitting the road this summer! I can’t wait to see you!” the 43-year-old Frozen actress tweeted.

After rising to prominence with her role of Maureen Johnson in the Broadway musical Rent, for which she received her first Tony Award nomination in 1996. In 2004, Idina won her Tony Award for the role of Elphaba in the Broadway musical Wicked. 10 years on, and Idina has had a recurring role in the hit TV series, Glee, as Shelby Corcoran, followed by the role of Nancy in the 2007 Disney film, Enchanted, for which her name gained more recognition.

It was with her role as the voice of Elsa the Snow Queen in the massive 2013 Disney movie Frozen, that Menzel really hit the big time. In fact, the Academy Award-winning, and Grammy nominated song ‘Let It Go’ from Frozen has defined the multi-talented artist this year, and with it she peaked at no. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The soundtrack to the movie (which is the highest-grossing animated film of all time) spent a number of weeks at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has sold more copies than any other album in 2014.

The 39 date American leg of the massively popular tour ended in October with a show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The UK leg of her tour will begin in Birmingham on the 22nd of June, and end in the Wembley Arena in London on the 27th June with one night in Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on the 24th of the same month.

This is your chance to see a hugely talented star with an amazing voice. Don’t miss out!
