Dolly Levi, a widow, has the answer to everyone’s problems except her own! She plans weddings for many and manages her own to the famous half-a-millionaire Horace Vandergelder, helping out his two shop assistants, the owner of a hat shop and her assistant, Horace’s niece and her boyfriend along the way.

The original Hello, Dolly! is a musical with lyrics and music by Jerry Herman and a book by Michael Stewart. It was first produced on Broadway by David Merrick in 1964, winning the Tony Award for Best Musical and nine other Tony’s. The show has become one of the most enduring musical theatre hits, enjoying three Broadway revivals and international success. It was also made into the 1969 film featuring Barbara Streisand that was nominated for seven Academy Awards.

There’s no need to Put On Your Sunday Clothes to see the parade passing by when you listen to the well-known songs and experience lots of laughs which abound in GLOC’s new look production of the much loved Barbara Streisand film, Hello Dolly.
