Glasgow Zombie Walk
There will be no 2011 Glasgow Zombie Walk. The walk in 2010 received a few complaints that it scared the children and no permmssion was granted for this year. The walk did not return in 2012 and no sign of it for 2013.

Join the undead at 3pm in Kelvingrove Park.
The 2010 Glasgow Zombie Walk will take place on Sunday 31st of October at 3pm in Kelvingrove Park. It starts at the Eldon Street/Park Road entrance to the park, and from there you can have yourself a good old-fashioned zombie stroll in the park!
Afterwards, you can shuffle your way along to Sloans for the after-walk party – 4pm till 10pm. It’s free entry, with a BBQ in the courtyard and some zombie flicks/dj’s on the go as well.
And if the Sunday isn’t enough for your Zombie needs or you can’t wait that long to Zombie it up, get yourself along to Sloans on the Saturday night (30th November) for their Zombie Ball as well and get yourself in the mood. There will be some prizes up for grabs, a free drink, some more dj’s and crackin zombie visuals. (Tickets £5 from Sloans).

The walk is off again, and for the record it had nothing to do with “scary” zombies. it’s becuse the event grew so large in just a year and the huge numbers make officals nervious when they hear news of riots and fights it becomes a huge task to attempt to keep so large a crowd under control.
Hi I was wondering if you’s are doing a zombie walk this year in 2012

I’m in the same boat as Chantelle, would love to know if the 2012 walk is going ahead, I went in 2010 with some friends and family and we’d love to do the walk again this year.
If there isn’t a walk going ahead, I presume there’ll just be a couple of lonely zombies walking about with no horde to follow…
Short answer: We don’t know. The 2011 zombie walk was cancelled because some folk complained that the fake zombies in kelvingrove park were really scary. We’ll post details here and on our facebook page as soon as we find out if it’s back for 2012 though…
