Immediately prior to a run in London’s West End, David Walliams’ Gangsta Granny is going on tour around the UK, and will be playing in Glasgow’s King’s Theatre from the 7th until the 11th of September 2016!

The world premiere of David Walliams’ Gangsta Granny is coming to the stage in a national tour starting this winter and running throughout 2016. It is being staged by the Birmingham Stage Company, the acclaimed producers of Horrible Histories.

It’s Friday night and Ben knows that means only one thing – staying with Granny! There will be cabbage soup, cabbage pie and cabbage cake and Ben knows one thing for sure – it’s going to be sooooooooo boring! But what Ben doesn’t know is that Granny has a secret – and Friday nights are about to get more exciting than he could possibly imagine, as he embarks on the adventure of a lifetime with his very own Gangsta Granny!

Birmingham Stage Company is delighted to bring to the stage this wonderful new production based on the amazing book by David Walliams, the UK’s best-selling children’s author.

‘I am over the moon that ‘Gangsta Granny’ is coming to the stage. It’s the most popular of all my books and I am sure this production by the brilliant Birmingham Stage Company will delight not just children but their parents and of course grandparents’.
