It all started back in 1972 in North Miami when Tony opened his first rib restaurant. Considered the pioneer of Baby Back Ribs, Tony Roma’s can now be found all over the world, with nearly 200 restaurants in 32 countries. Committed to providing the best ribs anywhere, Tony Roma’s have won countless awards over the years for their ribs and signature sauces.
But the Tony Roma’s story doesn’t end with ribs. Crispy fresh salads, mouth watering char-grilled steaks, BBQ chicken and delicious seafood make up a menu that is sure to please every guest.
However ribs are their signature dish, and the Tony Roma promise is that they will always be true to their signature Baby Backs, because that’s what they are famous for.

Tony Roma’s claims that they “have the best ribs in the land”. I don’t often order ribs in a restaurant, but since I was in Tony Roma’s and ribs appear to be their signature dish, I just had to.
I ordered the Bountiful Beef Ribs with the Blue Ridge Smokie sauce and they were sumptuous. The ribs themselves were juicy, succulent and tender; the meat practically fell off the bone. The sauce was sweet and very ‘smokie’. Together they were absolutely delicious. I had a taste of the Rod Hot sauce and blimey was it hot! I personally couldn’t have eaten a whole dish of it, but if you like hot- hot- hotness then this is the sauce for you.
The giant onion rings are good too.
They have a fantastically more-then-meaty menu; burgers, sandwiches, salads, shrimp, ribs, chicken and loads more. For a place that does steaks, ribs and seafood the prices are pretty reasonable. There were three of us there, all of whom had starters, 2 had ribs and 1 a burger, and a couple of drinks each. The bill came to just over £50 in total.
The whole restaurant is very American in style, and in the way it is waitressed/waitored. The staff were very friendly and down to earth, something that is occasionally missing from other restaurants.
The only thing I would say that could be construed as negative (for vegetarians) is – veggies stay away from Tony Roma’s as there is nothing for you here.
Went out for dinner at Tony Roma’s in Xscape Glasgow for a family meal. My Fiance’, My Son and myself. My son is three years old. We got a table within 10minutes, which was really good for a Friday night peak time.
My son got handed a kids goody bag containing drawing book and crayons. Which he played with till we got ordered. The restaurant is very child friendly, the staff are always welcoming. The menu always has something for everyone, with loads of choice.
I have been to this restaurant loads of times, and I cant fault the staff, food or overall experience.
The kids menu has all his favourites, and my Fiance’ is even kept happy as they have a Plasma TV on the wall showing Sky Sports so he is kept up to date with the football results.
Best family friendly restaurant in Glasgow. My son leaves happy everytime with a Balloon.
Can’t complain about anything in Tony Romas. Have been a few times now with family and it’s a great place to eat. Portions are quite colossal, but we just make sure we’re hungry before we go!
Delicious.
